What the inspection covers
Structure, welds and pins
Scissor stack, boom sections, pins, bushings, chassis and platform are checked for cracks, deformation, wear and prior repair work.
Hydraulics and cylinders
Lift and steer cylinders, hoses, fittings, valves and the pump are pressure- and function-tested for leaks, drift and slow operation.
Batteries, charger and wiring
Battery packs are load-tested and the charger, harnesses and connections are inspected — the biggest hidden cost on any used electric lift.
Drive, brakes and tires
Drive motors, brakes, wheel ends, tire condition and pothole protection are tested through a full drive and lift cycle.
Safety systems
Tilt sensors, overload protection, emergency lowering, alarms, guardrails and interlocks are function-tested to ANSI A92 requirements.
Written report
You receive a documented, item-by-item report with condition notes and recommended follow-up — usable for compliance, insurance and resale files.

What is a used equipment inspection?
It is a documented, item-by-item evaluation of a used machine's structure, hydraulics, electrical system, drive train and safety devices, performed by a qualified technician. For aerial lifts it follows ANSI A92 and the manufacturer's checklist, and you receive a written report.
Should I inspect a used scissor lift before buying it?
Yes. A pre-purchase inspection catches the expensive items — worn scissor pins, cracked welds, weeping cylinders and dead battery packs — before money changes hands. It typically costs a fraction of one repair.
How often does a used aerial lift need to be inspected?
ANSI A92 requires an annual inspection by a qualified person, frequent inspections based on usage (commonly every 3 months or 150 hours), and a daily pre-operation check by the operator.

Yes. Mobile inspections are performed at your yard, facility or jobsite across Los Angeles and Orange County. Equipment we sell is inspected at our Cerritos, CA facility before delivery.
